Despite being charged with treason, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the convener of the #FixtheCountry campaign, has promised to continue fighting for a better Ghana.
His current imprisonment, he claims, has made him even more driven to fight societal injustices.
The activist, who was detained after threatening a coup on social media, told #FixTheCountry supporters that triumph was on the way.
"I've come from jail twice assured that we're on the right road," he said in a live YouTube speech on Monday.
"We must not lose sight of the reality that those who seek to militarize our thoughts and voices, as well as those who seek to shatter our fronts via violence and character assassination, will not give up."
"Against the dismal and defeated leadership, we are on the verge of triumph," he declared.
Mr. Barker-Vormawor advised the youngsters not to give up their commitment to hold leadership responsible while detailing how he was reportedly mistreated by security authorities during his arrest.
He agreed that, while some people may be fearful of persecution, they must maintain their enthusiasm.
