UCL: Michael Owen predicts the results of Real Madrid vs. Chelsea and Bayern Munich vs. Villarreal
Michael Owen, a former Liverpool and Manchester United striker, has predicted the Champions League quarter-final second leg fixtures for Tuesday.
Following a 3-1 win in the first leg last week, Real Madrid will host Chelsea in the Champions League second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bayern Munich will play Villarreal in Germany after losing 1-0 to the LaLiga side in the first leg last week in Spain.
When asked for his predictions, Owen told BetVictor, "That was a brilliant result for Real Madrid in London." There is only one man to discuss: Karim Benzema!" Chelsea had chances and should have scored more at Stamford Bridge. I can see them winning.
"What a result in Spain that was for Villarreal," Owen said of Bayern Munich's match against Villarreal. "I'm afraid they'll come to regret some of those missed opportunities." Bayern is a different animal at home, as evidenced by their last-round victory over Salzburg in Munich. I don't think this will be as emphatic, but Bayern is a team I like. 2-0.”
