This Season's Player Who Has Hit The Post The Most Times In The Premier League
Some of the top finishers in the world play in the Premier League. In football, though, lack must occasionally be on your side in order to score a goal. A lot of players in the Premier League have been unlucky when it comes to hitting the woodwork. Hitting the post might be caused by a deflection, a swerve, a goalkeeper save, or simply because a player's shot was designed to hit the post. Some players have been hit by these misfortunes more than others. In this article, I look at four players in the Premier League who, according to Premier League figures for the 2021/22 season, have hit the woodwork the most times:
Gabriel Martinelli, No. 4 (Arsenal)
This season, the Arsenal prodigy has been in excellent form. The Brazilian international has five goals in twenty-one games. He has, however, struck the woodwork three times this season.
Kevin De Bruyne (#3) (Man City)
City's midfield maestro is one of, if not the finest, in the league. Kevin De Bruyne has 11 Premier League goals this season. He might have gotten more if he hadn't hit the woodwork four more times.
Eddie Nketiah, No. 2 (Arsenal)
Eddie is also one of the season's unluckiest players. Despite his limited playing time, Arsenal's teenage striker has hit the post four times this season. His most recent mishap occurred against Brighton on Saturday in injury time, when his header hit the post, which could have earned Arsenal a point.
1.Raphinha (Leeds United)
When it comes to hitting the woodwork, the 25-year-old Brazilian is the most unlucky player in the Premier League. Raphinha has 10 Premier League goals to his name, but he has hit the post seven times this season.
