Despite the rains, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Benito Owusu Bio stated that the resettling of victims of the Appiatse explosion is still underway.

Despite the fact that the Ministry had anticipated rainfall, he claims that the recent downpour has posed a problem for those who are now living in tents.

While expressing concern over the situation, Mr. Owusu Bio informed that over forty (40) FGR-owned buildings are being rehabilitated and roofed so that the explosion victims can be relocated by May 1, 2022.

"The Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Team observes how severe rains have caused extra problems to impacted individuals staying in tents," the Minister said in a statement. I am speaking on behalf of the government and the ministry.

"As we work with them to reconstruct their township, the residents of Appiatse have shown incredible perseverance thus far." The impact of the severe rain, on the other hand, is an extra problem, and we want to reassure them."

"The Reconstruction Implementation Team expected that rains beginning in March-April will make residing in tents unsustainable," the statement continued. That is why, since February, we have been working around the clock to offer temporary housing at Odumase."

"Over 40 FGR-owned buildings are being repaired and roofed so that we may rehouse the explosion victims by May 1st, 2022." This project has already received funding and is moving forward in earnest."
