Five (5) bogus troops attempted to rob gold miners, but two (2) were apprehended by the police, while the other three (3) are still on the loose. Richard Amoako and Joseph Adu Asare, ages 37 and 35, respectively, were the two (2) people who were arrested.
According to Adom News, five (5) bogus soldiers in a Toyota Prado with the registration number GE 9111-22 went to a gold mining site in Adansi, Central Region, and threatened the miners with handguns (guns), threatening them to hand over the gold they had dug.
One of the gold miners managed to flee and informed the authorities of the occurrence. The police arrived soon and detained two (2) of the phony troops, but the other three (3) managed to flee.
After apprehending the phony soldiers, the police recovered a firearm, military gear, a cutlass, and other stuff.
