Wonder Victor Kutor, the President of the Ghana Law School's Students Representative Council (SRC), has been compelled to step down.
The order follows an examination into Mr Kutor's purchase of a car for the SRC that bears his name.
The SRC's Executive Council questioned the President on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, concerning his ownership of an automobile sold to the SRC with the chassis number 2T1BURHE0EC043574.
However, according to a statement signed by the Secretary, Safo Kwame Oheneba, Mr. Kutor's replies were unacceptable, prompting the instruction.
As a result, an impartial committee with no executive members has been formed to look into the matter further.
"Following a majority vote by the Executive Council, the Executive Council has determined to establish an independent committee to investigate the acquisition of the abovementioned car and determine if any individual or executive involved was complicit or not."
Parts of the statement said, "This committee would be devoid of any executive members and consisted of three individuals entrusted with presenting an opinion report as well as a proposal of possible measures within 14 days."
