DCE FOR TEMPANE DISTRICT TOURS RAINSTORM AFFECTED COMMUNITIES

Hon. Issaka Anabida - *DCE for Tempane*, yesterday, 11/04/2022, visited communities severely affected by the heavy rain storm that befell us last Wednesday 6th April, 2022. In Bulpielisi, a sheanut tree fell on a man and instantly killed him. Hon. DCE consoled with the bereaved family and promise them of NADMO's support to them. The CHPS compound of Bulpielisi had the maternity block completely ripped off and part of the nurses bungalow too ripped off. A KG block was completely ripped off as well. Hon. DCE asked his office to immediately roof the health facility to enable the people access health care since it's the only facility available to the communities around there. At the Karateshie areas, several houses were ripped off and prominent among them is a newly constructed block house which was totally debased by the storm. About 20 High tension Electricity poles connecting the Basyonde, Karateshie, Kongo, Nagani, and nearby communities were pulled down and power supply to those areas cut. VRA Officials were however brought swiftly and work has started to restore electricity to the affected areas. Officials of NADMO were also present to make assessment of the damages caused.
