Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United defender, believes Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger will regret his reaction at full time after the Blues were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.Rudiger pushed Madrid center-back David Alaba away after the game when he tried to console him.
Chelsea were eliminated from the competition despite winning 3-2 on the night, following a 3-1 loss at Stamford Bridge. As the final whistle blew, Alaba went to console Rudiger, but the Germany international pushed him away and stormed off screaming, before collapsing to his knees.Other Real Madrid players attempted to approach Rudiger, but he remained enraged on the ground.
"It's emotional, man," Ferdinand said on BT Sport. And I don't think he'd want to react that way or see those picture. But you can't control the feeling there. We've all been there after big games, and I've said and done things you later regret, thinking to yourself, 'that's not me, that's not my normal personality.' But this is what people associate with football.
