Rodrigo Renato Gianno, a businessman, has filed a lawsuit at the High Court against Sulley Ali Muntari, a midfielder with Hearts of Oak.
The writ and statement of claim were filed on March 21, 2022, by Kwadwo Gyasi Ntrakwah of Ntrakwah and Co., the businessman's lawyer.
He is seeking €97,320 in damages, which he claims the footballer has failed to pay.
Between 2015 and 2017, he says, the former International player hired him to arrange and pay for a variety of flight tickets and hotel accommodations for himself, his family, and friends.
Mr. Muntari is accused of failing or refusing to pay the merchant the agreed-upon sum. Mr. Gianno claims that all of the footballer's checks to pay the alleged amounts were dishonored by the banks. He says in his writ that the player afterwards confessed the obligation to the businessman and pledged to pay.
This, the merchant claims, has not been done, prompting his decision to seek legal intervention.
According to the businessman, he sued the player in the Court of Milan in 2019 and won the case.
Despite this, the money has not yet been received.
