Former Black Stars player and Hearts of Oak midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari has been reportedly sued by an Italian businessman, Podrigo Renato Gianno at the High Court.
According to the applicant, the footballer allegedly owes him an amount of €92,320 which he has refused to pay after the court of Milan in 2019 granted his request.
Counsel for the applicant, Kwadwo Gyasi Ntrakwah filed on 21st March, 2022 asking the courts to force the ex-blackstars player to pay the said amount.
The Italian businessman narrates the footballer contracted him to book and cater for the finances for the various airline tickets and hotel rooms for himself, family and friends in 2015, 2016 and 2017 which Muntari is said to have refused to settle.
He further says cheques issued by the Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder to settle the amount were all dishonoured by the banks. Rodrigo adds that Sulley in his first case at Milan admitted and promised to pay the debt.
The applicant wants the High Court to rule in his favor that he is entitled to recover the amount, interest and general damages for breach of contract.
