Frenchman Corentin Martins has been named Libya mentor following seven years in charge of Mauritania, the Libyan Football Federation declared on Monday.
As indicated by the Football Association, the arrangement is for a time of one year to get ready for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, the draw for which happens on 19 April, and for the CHAN, the African Nations Championship for players from the African mainland (draw on 28 April).
The 52-year-old Corentin Martins, who won 14 covers and scored one objective for the French public group, was accountable for the "Mourabitounes" from 2014 to 2021. He has qualified two times for the CAN, without playing the second one at the top of his group. The Breton is taking his Mauritanian partner Sall Moustapha to Libya.
