The governing body of football in Ghana, Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to name a new coach to handle the senior national team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup expected to be held in Qatar.
Interim Coach Otto Addo was made to replace Coach Milovan Rajevac after the abysmal performance of the Black Stars in the continental football campaign hosted in Cameroon.
Coach Otto Addo was made interim Coach ahead of the announcement of a new coach after the last World Cup qualifiers with Nigeria. He led the Black Stars to an all-draw game in Kumasi and Abuja which secured them a slot at the World stage.
It is not yet clear whether Otto Addo will be maintained or Chris Hughton will be made to replace him as coach of the Ghana national team for the World Cup. Chris Hughton, George Boateng and Masud Didi Dramani were part of the technical hands that assisted Otto Addo in leading the Black Stars secure a 4th World Cup qualification.
According to the Ghana Football Association Public Relations Officer, a new coach will be named for the 2022 World Cup.
