Darren Bent desires Tottenham to sign Romelu Lukaku
Previous Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has encouraged his old club to move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku assuming Harry Kane leaves this mid year.
Lukaku's £97.5m move back to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan has not worked out as expected, with the Belgium worldwide conceding last year that he was longing for a re-visitation of San Siro.
Kane's exit from Tottenham was not allowed the previous summer, and the England commander keeps on being connected with a move somewhere else as Spurs get ready to end another season trophyless.
The Lilywhites are pushing for a re-visitation of the Champions League under Antonio Conte, however Bent accepts that Lukaku would be ideal for the Blues assuming Kane heads somewhere else.
"However long Antonio Conte's there, I don't figure Harry Kane would go anyplace. Be that as it may, assuming more awful came to more terrible and Harry Kane did leave, and go somewhere else, on the off chance that they can get Lukaku, you've seen what Conte can escape Romelu Lukaku," Bent told talkSPORT.
"Indeed, even down to his sustenance, since that was the best I've at any point seen him look, last season and toward the beginning of this season. Assuming there was an open door and Kane leaves and Conte can get Lukaku, I'd go out practically the entire day to get it, day in and day out. I think as somebody who has a lot of Premier League insight, there'd be nobody better to supplant Harry Kane.
'I know they're totally disparate as far as players, Harry Kane dropping in and [is] actually a superior footballer, however Lukaku would be a sufficient substitution, surely with how he managed Conte as of now. Along these lines, I would."
Lukaku enlisted 24 objectives and 10 helps under Conte during Inter Milan's title-winning 2020-21 season yet has just amassed 12 objectives in 36 counterparts for Chelsea this term.
Kane, in the interim, has scored multiple times and given nine aids 43 counterparts for Tottenham this term and stays under agreement in North London until 2024.
