Megan Rapinoe, a member of the United States Women's National Team, claimed on Twitter that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's XFL company utilized nearly identical branding to TOGETHXR, an organization founded by her partner Sue Bird to transform how society views conventional roles for women.
Rapinoe posted a screenshot from LinkedIn of the XFL's branding release, claiming that the league's new brand identification campaign infringes on TOGETHXR's intellectual property rights.
Rapinoe tweeted, "Welp, this is awkward."
"The only thing The Rock and the XFL will be working on is a response to the Cease and Desist order, as well as an entirely new brand identity. TOGETHXR snagged this from the locked boys."
While it sounds exciting, we could be seeing a new visual look to the competition if Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird's legal action is successful.
