Mr Yusif Muniru, the Site Manager, announced on Tuesday that construction on the 'Agenda 111' Hospital project at Kantaga in the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region is 40% complete.

Male, female, pediatric, and surgical wards, laundry, laboratory, physiotherapy, and pharmacy units, administration block, an Out-Patients Department, and mortuary are all part of the project, which is planned to be finished by the end of 2022

When the Upper East Regional Minister, Mr Stephen Yakubu, visited the site to examine the progress of the work, Mr Muniru mentioned this in an interview with media.

"So far, we've focused on the substructure, and I'd guess we've completed around 40% of the work," he addedHe stated that funds were available for the prompt completion of construction and expressed confidence that the project would be finished by the end of the 2022 deadline.

The government launched the 'Agenda 111' project to guarantee that hospitals are built in areas where there are none, in order to enhance access to health care.

After reviewing the construction, the Regional Minister expressed his satisfaction that the contractor was working hard to fulfil the deadline and advised citizens to put their political differences aside and assist the contractor, as the project will benefit all communities.

"Let us put an end to the politics that we play with this facility, which will serve both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members."
