The Reds' attacker has spoken about how difficult it has been for him to maintain consistency in his play, as well as the ritual he does to keep himself in check.
Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool forward, has disclosed that at the end of each season, he spends some time alone on the beach reflecting on his achievements and setting his goals for the coming season.
Since joining the Reds in the 2017/18 season, the 29-year-old has been a big success, winning the Premier League Golden Boot twice and looking like a strong contender for the trophy this season.
He's now revealed what factors may have contributed to his on-field success.
"When it comes to me, I am brutally honest. After each season, I sit with flat traces on what needs to change. And I intend to pursue it. Salah told ESPN, "I'm really honest with myself."
"I'm on vacation by myself. I write what I want to evolve to go after while alone in front of the water. The more honest and open I am with myself, the better. I'm a prolific writer.
"I dream of winning the Champions League and the Premier League once more." It keeps me going during the season.
"I see myself having a successful season, but I believe that if you want individual trophies, you must win them with the team," he says.
"I scored 44 goals in my first season here, demonstrating that if you win as a team, you also win as an individual. I'm hoping for huge trophies this season so that the individual ones will follow."
Despite scoring 28 goals for the club in 39 Premier League and Uefa Champions League games this season, the winger has acknowledged that he is facing numerous hurdles.
"It's difficult, but not impossible, to focus. I can stay focused because I know how. It is, nevertheless, a difficult task "Salah did not stop talking. "There are just too many distractions and far too many people discussing everything. 'How much will you be there?' they asked while I was at the African Cup of Nations. What time do you plan to return?"
He also spoke on his national team's tragedies, including losing on penalties to Senegal in both the Africa Cup of Nations final and the 2022 World Cup qualifying play-offs. "We gave it our all in order to win the African Cup of Nations. We made it to the championship game but lost on penalties. We put forth a lot of effort to get to the final. We have a lot of admirers. We also lost on penalties in qualifying "Salah added to the conversation. "Now that I'm back at the club, I need to focus on Liverpool's side and help them win the prizes they're striving for this season." I need to be mentally focused and concentrated. I know exactly what I'm looking for and how professional I am. The most crucial and important thing is to focus on the team."
"The directors, as well as the companions, are pleased. Everyone seems to be having a good time, including myself."
Salah is set to participate in the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley.
