Declan Rice has been a standout performer for West Ham in recent seasons, generating interest from big Premier League clubs, but David Moyes has dismissed any idea that he may depart. As speculation about Declan Rice's future at West Ham intensifies, Yaya Toure has urged him to join a Champions League team.Jack Wilshere recently dubbed Rice the best defensive midfielder in the world, prompting Toure's transfer advice. Toure did not directly repeat the assertion, but he did express his love for the England international.
"Declan Rice is having an excellent season. Let's be honest: I adore him as a player and hold him in the highest regard. Since Pellegrini was the head coach of West Ham, I've watched him develop. He is doing a terrific job. Perhaps one more season, but I believe he should go on to the first big club, perhaps a Champions League outfit. He'll get better and better there, and he'll be the best there.
"In terms of West Ham, they're doing a tremendous job. I know and respect David Moyes as a coach, and I believe Declan Rice can still progress under his guidance. However, if he wants to make a bigger impact, I believe he should join a Champions League team."
With a sixth-place finish in the Premier League, West Ham are on track to keep their place in Europe next season. They will play the second leg of their Europa League tie in Lyon.
