Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the President's Chief of Staff, has urged Ghanaians not to underestimate the value of peace in the country's growth.
People frequently overlook how disagreements have stifled community growth, according to her.
Mrs Osei-Opare expressed this at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, when a team from the E ON 3 Group and its partners presented her with the Otumfuo Commemorative Coin.
Reasonable voice
She praised the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his involvement in bringing peace during the Fourth Republic's political changes.
"As a politician, I'm well aware of the delicate role he's played in bringing peace to our country's political transitions." When things became tough, he pulled divisions together and provided a voice of reason in topics that could have caused the country to fall apart," she added.
Gratitude
The country would always be thankful to the Asantehene for leading the Committee of Eminent Chiefs to bring peace to Dagbon after many years of a catastrophic chieftaincy conflict, according to the Chief of Staff.
Mrs. Osei-Opare, who previously served as the Country Director of Action Aid in northern Ghana, understood how essential the Dagbon Kingdom was.
As a result, it was sad that years of chieftaincy conflict caused so much damage to that significant realm.
As a result, she argued, it was critical to acknowledge that it was Otumfuo, with all his skill and diplomacy, who led the three-member delegation.
