Assin North MP controlled by Supreme Court from performing parliamentary obligations
Beset Assin North Member of Parliament, James Gyakye Quayson, has opened up on why he voyaged abroad and later got back to the country to go into governmental issues.
In a meeting with Metro TV, he referenced that he traveled to another country to seek after additional investigations and go on with his life.
He, nonetheless, said he wanted to get back to his nation of birth to contribute his amount to its turn of events.
Mr. Quayson expressed that he decided to address the Assin North supporters to carry a potential open door to the adolescent and the constituents at large.
"I didn't return to my underlying foundations or my country since I simply need to be a MP. I needed to take that situation to help the local area since I came intentionally to serve them, to see what amazing open doors I can provide for the adolescent and individuals that live in Assin North to attempt to work on their parts.
"It's a disregarded local area, nothing was working there and that is the fundamental explanation [I joined legislative issues to address them]… and furthermore to serve my country.
"Ghana is my country. I was brought into the world here and I left here for my further examinations and to go on with my life yet the comes a period that you need to reward your kin and that is the very thing that I mean. I didn't come to accept their open door from them yet to give it to them," he said.

In July 2021, a High Court in Cape Coast invalidated the appointment of the Assin North MP, after it observed that he owed devotion to Canada at the hour of documenting his designation structures to challenge the surveys.
Michael Ankomah Nimfah, an inhabitant of the voting public, documented the request in court and later started one more activity at the Supreme Court to authorize the High Court's choice.
He encouraged the Court to forestall a further break of the constitution by limiting the MP.
On Wednesday, April 13, the Supreme Court in a 5-2 choice administered on the issue by banishing the Assin North MP from playing out any Parliamentary obligation.
This is until the assurance of the meaningful body of evidence documented against him at the Supreme Court.
