PSG star Kylian Mbappé had some Juventus fans in fits of excitement this evening after posting a cryptic Instagram message about seeing a zebra soon, while others mocked the idea of a Turin transfer.
The striker will be a free agent when his contract expires on June 30 and has not agreed a new deal to remain in Paris, although that is not entirely out of the question too.
He is widely expected to join Real Madrid for free, working with Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti and his France international teammate Karim Benzema.
However, Mbappé had some Juve fans on high alert when he posted a message on Instagram Stories that simply said ‘ZEBRA’ with the emojis of a timer ticking down and ‘soon.’
The zebra is the symbol of Serie A side Juventus, so the odd message got some Bianconeri supporters excited.
It is almost certainly a reference to a sponsorship or marketing deal, but while a few Juve fans suggested they could dream, most joked about the possibility of Mbappé coming to Turin.
Some noted Max Allegri wouldn’t want a forward who doesn’t track back and defend, while others expect he might just have a ticket to visit the zoo or is buying himself an exotic pet.
A few wags even mused Mbappé could renew his contract with PSG and use the wages to buy Juventus.
