Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid has made a big assertion about Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah's future.
Following his phenomenal form for the Reds over the last several years, the Egyptian international is deservedly considered as one of the top players in the world.
However, the 29-year-future old's at Liverpool appears to be uncertain, since his current contract at Anfield expires in the summer of 2023.
The Reds have made little headway in contract negotiations with their star attacker, and a move away from Anfield could be imminent.
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has backed his former Chelsea partner to win La Liga.
While both were on Chelsea's books, the Belgian shared a changing room with Salah for a little spell.
In 'any of the five major leagues,' he feels the Egyptian would be a success.
El Captain, according to Courtois:
‘’Does Mohamed Salah have a chance to join the Premier League?" There are no easy transfers from one league to another or from one club to another, though there are exceptions. For example, there have been good players in the English Premier League who have successfully adapted to the Spanish League, and vice versa."
"On a personal level, my transition to the Spanish League was not difficult since I came from the English Premier League," he continued, "and for this reason, I believe Salah can adjust to any of the five major leagues."
Mohamed Salah could quit Liverpool and join Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Mohamed Salah has stated multiple times that he would want to remain at Liverpool, but that he wants a contract that matches his value in the world of football.
If he left Merseyside, it will undoubtedly be for true European royalty, who will pay him as much as he deserves.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only two clubs in La Liga with a possibility of luring the 29-year-old from Anfield.
However, both are rumoured to be pursuing younger prospects, and neither has the financial resources they once did. Liverpool's prospects of keeping Salah are aided by the fact that the Egyptian King has few realistic options.
We'll have to wait and see what the 29-year-future old's holds, but a move to La Liga is unlikely.
