Joan Laporta has expressed his embarrassment at the incidents that occurred in the Camp Nou's stands on Thursday night.
Around 20,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans packed the stadium, and Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu expressed his thoughts on the situation.
"I'm concerned because what happened was humiliating, and I don't want it to happen again," he explained.
"We have information on what happened, but it will take some time for us to process it."
"Because it's terrible and disgraceful, we're going to take action."
According to Laporta, the club is examining what happened and will take steps to avoid a repeat incident in the future.
"We cannot allow this type of circumstance to occur; we must be more stringent," he stated.
"We are looking at what happened with the security department and ticketing. It is a situation that no one wants.
"When we have processed all the information we will explain everything and take action."
