REAL MADRID HAVE LOST A FORMER MIDFIELDER THROUGH AN ACCIDENT

Following the untimely loss of former Real Madrid attacking midfielder Freddy Rincon, the football world is in grief.

After getting involved in a tragic car accident on Wednesday evening, the ex-Colombia international passed on unexpectedly. The midfielder spent two years with Real Madrid and appeared in three World Cup finals for his country. Rincon was 55 years old when his car collided with a bus in Cali, causing severe brain injuries, according to sources.

He didn't die right away and was brought to the hospital, where surgery was conducted right away, but he eventually passed away. From 1995 until 1997, the deceased was a member of Real Madrid, making over 20 appearances for the Spanish giants.

He also played for Palmeiras, Corinthians, Santos, Cruzeiro, and Napoli during his career, and he represented Colombia in three World Cup finals.

Rincon won 84 caps for his country and at one point in his career, he was named captain of the national squad.

Laureano Quintero, a medical director at the Imbanaco Clinic where Rincon was treated, verified Rincon's "Despite our teams' best efforts, Freddy Eusebio Rincon Valencia has died," he stated.
