Christians look forward to Easter, as do children, because it is one of their favorite festivals.

Easter commemorates Jesus Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven, according to Christian tradition.

There are some well-known Easter rituals among Nigerians, similar to Christmas traditions around the world.

On Good Friday, no meat or fish is allowed.

Snails might be the protein on your plate on Good Friday if you're a meat eater, because many Christian families in Nigeria, particularly Catholics, abstain from eating meat on this day.

On Good Friday, Jesus, according to Christian belief, sacrificed his own flesh.

Because Jesus accomplished a miracle by feeding 5,000 people with only two fish and five loaves of bread on this day, most Catholics abstain from eating fish on this day.

Many families cook special dishes for Easter, just as they do during Christmas. Another method to show God your love, according to a close buddy, is to eat well over Easter.
