The poor turnout of travellers ahead of the Easter holidays has been regretted by several station masters and drivers at major bus terminals in Accra.
They attribute the situation to rising transportation fares and economic challenges.
"You wouldn't have seen vacant automobiles here at this time in prior years." Mr Justice Wiredu, Station Master, OA Bus Terminal, Circle, informed the Ghana News Agency that most of them would have been on their way to various places throughout the country for the holidays (GNA).
Mr Wiredu stated that passengers used to wait for buses before COVID-19, but that had changed, adding that "this time the vehicles are here and there are no passengers."
