Hundreds of people were in line at multiple Koforidua transportation hubs, waiting for cars to take them to their Easter destinations.
Mr Kwabena Opoku, a driver at the Ho station, said the drivers were making a lot of money this season since the holidays coincided with the end of the academic year for senior high school form two pupils, giving them an opportunity to make a lot of money.
Mr Isaac Owiredu, a trader, told the Ghana News Agency that it was unfortunate that Easter Monday, the day after the Saviour's resurrection, which should be joyfully celebrated, would be dull due to a noise-making ban imposed by the New Juaben Traditional Council, Koforidua, from April 18 to May 18, 2022.
