The Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), the Right Reverend Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, believes Christians must be willing to sacrifice their wealth for God's purpose.
He said that they must also contribute to the growth of their towns and nation by assisting the vulnerable and establishing peace among themselves.
"Just as God freely gave Jesus Christ to suffer for our sins, we should also freely give," Rt. Rev. Dzomeku stated in his Easter address to Christians.
"Let us remember as a country that Jesus is the cause for Easter's celebration, and that all of our activities should be to the glory of His name," he continued.
Easter, he remarked, was a watershed point in the history of the church.
