Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace - Kick - Off time ,Preview ,prediction, available players, team news, lineups , key players to miss the clash
Chelsea will look to move one step closer to FA Cup glory when they face Crystal Palace in the semi-finals on Sunday at Wembley Stadium, following a spectacular but disappointing night in the Champions League.
The two London clubs are competing for the opportunity to face either Liverpool or Manchester City in the showpiece event, with the fate of the other finalists to be determined 24 hours before the capital derby.
Team Updates
Chelsea's left side remains slightly depleted due to the absences of Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi, the latter of whom could now take weeks to recover from an Achilles problem, and Romelu Lukaku, who is suffering from pain in the same area.
The Belgian did not travel to Madrid with the team but is now back in training, while Ross Barkley has recovered from an illness but will not play at Wembley.
Cesar Azpilicueta recovered quickly from COVID-19 to make the bench at the Bernabeu and could now force his way back into the side ahead of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Timo Werner should keep his place in the attack after two strong showings on the continent and at home.
Meanwhile, Palace will be without Conor Gallagher this weekend after his parent club declined a request to allow him to play in the semi-final, and James McArthur will take his place in the engine room.
Tyrick Mitchell, the left-back, had to be substituted in the loss to Leicester due to a calf injury, but he is expected to recover off the issue in time to start at Wembley, Michael Olise, on the other hand, has a good chance of recovering from a foot injury in time to make the squad as well.
If Will Hughes recovers from his knock, Nathan Ferguson will be the Eagles' only injury absentee for the semi-final, but Vieira may avoid risking Olise from the start while a fully-fit Jordan Ayew is ready to go.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kovacic, Kante, Alonso; Mount, Werner; Havertz
Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; McArthur, Kouyate, Schlupp; Ayew, Mateta, Zaha
PREDICTION : Chelsea 3-1 Crystal Palace
