Manchester City and Liverpool renew hostilities in the FA Cup final four on Saturday afternoon at Wembley Stadium, having already qualified for the Champions League semi-finals.

The two sides drew 2-2 in last weekend's Premier League clash at the Etihad and are vying to face either Chelsea or Crystal Palace in the showpiece event this weekend.

Team Updates

Man City were at war with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, as evidenced by Phil Foden's bandaged head, and Guardiola also lost Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne to ankle injuries on the night, with both men now classified as major doubts for the trip to Wembley alongside Cole Palmer.

Guardiola claimed that the injuries had put his team in "big trouble" before the semi-final, but Ruben Dias was fit enough to start at the Wanda Metropolitano, and Gabriel Jesus has returned from a European suspension.

With Dias's return, John Stones could move to right-back to cover for the injured Walker, or Joao Cancelo could switch flanks as either Nathan Ake or Oleksandr Zinchenko returns on the left, giving Guardiola plenty of options for defensive change. Raheem Sterling will almost certainly be recalled as a result of De Bruyne's problem.

In contrast, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may once again have a full complement of options after his players came through the second leg against Benfica unscathed.

However, Diogo Jota has emerged as a slight doubt as a result of a knock.

Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are expected to return to the backline, while Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara came off the bench against Benfica and should start here.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are also expected to return to the starting lineup, with Luis Diaz potentially joining the African duo after being substituted just after the hour mark in the second leg against Benfica.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:

Ederson; Cancelo, Stones, Laporte, Ake; Silva, Rodri, Gundogan; Jesus, Sterling, Grealish

Liverpool possible starting lineup:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Mane, Diaz

PREDICTION : Manchester City 1-2 Liverpool
