Even as they celebrate Easter, the Ghana Medical Association is encouraging the general population to be aware of the incidence of COVID-19.

For the first time in two years, Ghanaians are enjoying Easter without restrictions.

The Christian holiday that commemorates Christ's death and resurrection is generally marked by revelry and picnics. Since the emergence of COVID 19, these enjoyable pastimes have been put on pause.

Restrictions have been reduced, however, due to the declining number of illnesses. Akufo-Addo is the president of Ghana. "I ask to everyone of you, notwithstanding the easing of the limitations and the good news regarding infections, to continue to live responsibly and safely, so that we may all live together," he said in a televised Easter greeting to Ghanaians ahead of the celebrations.
