Consumer prices rose to their highest levels in more than a decade in March, as supply chain bottlenecks caused by the Ukraine conflict pushed food, gasoline, and fertiliser costs rising.
The Consumer Price Index increased 19.4% from a year ago, above many experts' estimates.
The most recent price increase is the largest since August 2009, surpassing the 15.7 percent increase in February 2022.
Food inflation increased to 22.4 percent in March from 17.4 percent in February, while non-food price increases increased to 17 percent from 14.5 percent.
