Sergio Aguero has inked a deal with Disney + to become a content creator, months after being forced to quit from sport.
After helping Manchester City win the Premier League title last season, Aguero traveled to Barcelona to join Lionel Messi.
Following an injury when he signed, Aguero was pulled off during a game with lung problems after making only five appearances.
In December, the former Atletico Madrid footballer announced his retirement at the age of 33, citing a heart condition, which his doctor explained was caused by a scar near his heart from a previous occurrence. Now, though, Aguero will be creating content for Disney +, with the former footballer revealing the partnership on his social media.
The Argentine stated, according to ESPN's Sports Centre, "We share similar viewpoints, and the proposals are intriguing. I'm all set." Despite the fact that the specific projects have yet to be confirmed.
Since hanging up his boots, Aguero has been a regular live streamer on his Twitch channel, even defending his teammate Messi on one occasion.
The former athlete recently stated that he was considering returning to the game and had been offered a contract to do so, but that he would not be doing so anytime soon. The retired former footballer told Argentine news source TyC, "It occurred to me the other day that I might be able to play again. I was contacted by Inter Miami, but I declined. How about in two years? Let's have a look..."
