The whole world was put into a state of shock when the news of the death of one of Nigeria's Gospel Music sensation and the 'Ekueme' hit maker, OSINACHI.
After the untimely demise of Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu, many rumuors have been circulating about to the circumstances in which the unfortunate incident happened. Some are even pointing fingers at her pastor saying he was the one who advised Osinachi to stay together with her husband in spite of the maltreatment she was suffering in the marriage.
Speaking to the issue, Osinachi's pastor, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche said the rumors in the air are untrue and has decided to tell what he knows concerning the situation.
" In light of so much misinformation, in light of so much misconstruction of events, I decided to set straight what I know concerning the situation. Over two and half months to three months ago, she came to see me with her husband with complaints of chest pains, respiratory distress. I prayed for her, and prayed and prayed again, and when the symptoms did not abate, I counseled her to go to the hospital to help us know what exactly we are dealing with. And they asked if I could assist, help them facilitate that process. I called our head of medical team, Dr Osang who is consultant paediatrician with the Federal Medical Center, to assist handle their situation...", he noted.
He also said that if there was domestic violence that led to or coincided with the symptoms that she came with about three months ago, there was no way he would know and if there have been perinnial domestic violence, there was no way he would have known.
" The things we were hearing after her passing were things that were very very strange to my hearing. Then I began to ask questions. First I asked her twin sister; were you aware that your sister passed through all those things, and she said yes she knew some of them but the majority of them she was hearing it also from people she confided in. I asked her, I said if you knew, why didn't you let us know? And the twin sister said she always begged her; please don't tell the church, don't tell pastor, please the man will change_ just pray for us, the man will change", he disclosed.
He reiterated that as a person and a church everyone who knows them know that we have zero degree tolerance for domestic abuse or wife battering of any sort.
