Tottenham's main four expectations experienced difficulty as they were crushed at home by an amazing Brighton.
The Seagulls looked great incentive for a point in the spring daylight with Antonio Conte's Spurs fumbling having at long last required the fourth spot off Arsenal with last week's loss for the Gunners at home to Brighton.
But they tumbled to a similar destiny with Leandro Trossard's 90th-minute victor.
This is the way Conte's side appraised at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium...
Hugo Lloris - 6
Generally untroubled, yet because of a few significant squares from those before him.
Cristian Romero - 6
Tasteful and created as ever until bumble gave Trossard ownership and the triumphant objective.
Eric Dier - 6
Battled to track down passes to break the lines yet strong in protection until the late victor.
Ben Davies - 5
Nearly put Lloris in a difficult situation with an easygoing back pass after eminent control and pulled off a blunder under lock and key somewhere down in their own last third. Key square to deny Lamptey.
Sergio Reguilon - 6
Returned on left instead of harming Matt Doherty. An artful long toss made an opportunity for Son and wonderfully kept away from a reserving for a skeptical foul on Mwepu.
Rodrigo Bentancur - 6
Urgent touch to take Joel Veltman's flick clear of risk and went close with a long-range exertion at the opposite end. Booked and subbed.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - 6
On the less than desirable finish of a tackle that ought to have procured Mwepu a subsequent booking and terminated the extraordinary ball across the objective that was shouting out for final detail. Did fine in midfield fight yet was dominated by Bissouma.
Emerson Royal - 5
Burdensome under lock and key and minimal going after danger however rescued Davies with convenient mediation on Caicedo.
Dejan Kulusevski - 5
Booked - and ought to have been shipped off - for a baffled blow up at Cucurella during a calm presentation prior to being supplanted not long after the hour.
Heung-min Son - 5
That an opportunity right off the bat in the final part was his first genuine compromising second expressed a lot about a presentation that neglected to satisfy ongoing electric structure. Presumably excused an off-day.
Harry Kane - 5
Denied by essential Veltman tackle prior to leaving hearts in mouths while seeming to hurt broadly delicate lower leg in a pointless crash with Sanchez. Not quite so involved as expected as the pressed Brighton midfield denied him space to drop profound.
Substitutes
Lucas Moura (Kulusevski, 64') - 6
Added some truly necessary push.
Harry Winks (Bentancur, 72') - 6
Steven Bergwijn (Son, 88') - 5
Wasted splendid late possibility at the quick adjuster.
