British born Brighton and Hove Albion defender Eric Tariq has breaken silence on his nationality switch to join the Black Stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Reports were rife that the 21-year old is in constant communication with officials of the Ghana Football Association to commence the process of switching his national allegiance to the West African nation.
In an interview after his teams victory against Tottenham Hotspurs in the English Premier league, he appears not decisive yet.
"I am not sure yet. I have to just keep focusing on my club football. Take a game by game then we'll see", he said in reaction to a question posed about his nationality switch.
The 21-year old has represented the England junior teams but is yet to receive a call up for the senior side, making him eligible to play for Ghana.
Both parents of Tariq are Ghanaians.
