Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the founder and head of Lighthouse Chapel, has died.
David Heward-Mills, the Bishop's eldest child, has been reported deceased. Following a brief illness, he passed away.
David Heward-Mills was a medical practitioner who worked in the United States of America. He died when he was 31 years old.
Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the Lighthouse Chapel has asked that the public respect the bereaved family's privacy at this difficult time.
The church's management also urged Ghanaians and sympathizers to remember the bereaved family in their prayers in a statement released by the church.
"We, too, as a church, are grieved, but we stand with our leader and his family, believing that God will soothe and strengthen them."
