Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek said he is savoring his new job as a wing back under supervisor Thomas Tuchel after amazing exhibitions in the last two matches.
Loftus-Cheek began last end of the week's Premier League match at Southampton on the right side, having an influence in four goals as Chelsea won 6-0.
The 26-year-old then succeeded in a similar job at the Santiago Bernabeu as Chelsea crushed Real Madrid 3-2 in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals, albeit that outcome was not to the point of sending them through to the following round.
"It was a piece different between the two games, yet at the same time had comparable qualities in the job that I was approached to do," Loftus-Cheek told the club site.
"I'd never begun at traditional back, yet it was a job I was certain to play and complete what was requested from me.
"In midfield, you don't be guaranteed to get an excessive amount of room to open up and drive with the ball and that is one of my huge assets, so in this position some of the time it permitted me to open up and go past individuals and utilize my running power. So I appreciated it."
Chelsea face Crystal Palace in an all-London conflict in the FA Cup elimination round later on Sunday.
