The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a warning for potentially significant tidal waves on Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17, 2022.
The Agency issued a 48-hour warning to the general public, particularly inhabitants along the coast who live in low-level Coastal communities with elevations of 1 meter above sea level, such as Keta and Ada.
"High tidal heights of 1.86m and 1.89m are expected around 03:50 pm and 04:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday, respectively." "This is primarily for Ghana's East Coast," Adom Derkye, the Deputy Forecaster, explained.
