Manchester United wants £40 million for a backup player, while Chelsea is willing to let Romelu Lukaku depart this summer...
WHERE IS HENDO RIGHT NOW?
According to rumours, Manchester United has set a high price for unattached goalkeeper Dean Henderson ahead of the summer transfer season.
The 25-year-old made an impression during a two-year loan spell with Sheffield United, guiding the club earn promotion to the Premier League before finishing ninth in their first season.
That helped him gain the attention of former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who offered him a shot last season. Henderson started the season marginally ahead of David de Gea in the pecking order, but the Spaniard has reclaimed his place as the number one goalkeeper this season.
After making 12 Premier League starts last season, Henderson has only made three appearances in all competitions this season. And the goalkeeper is starting to become restless due to his lack of playing time. Man United will seek £40 million in the summer if any club wants to buy Henderson, according to the Daily Star.
Newcastle United reportedly tried to sign Henderson during the winter transfer window but had 'all offers rebuffed.' If the Magpies pay the asking price, Henderson will become the'most expensive British goalkeeper in history,' with the Geordies indicating to Man Utd that they aim to come back in for him this summer.
Henderson is 'desperate to find himself a new club,' according to the Daily Star, because he wants to be included in Gareth Southgate's World Cup team at the end of the year.
According to rumours, Chelsea is willing to let Romelu Lukaku depart after just one season at the club.
After scoring 24 goals and adding 11 assists in 36 Serie A games for Inter Milan previous season, the Belgian international was signed for £97.5 million in the summer transfer window. However, his form with the Blues this season has been less than stellar, with ten goals in 33 appearances across all competitions.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to let Lukaku leave this summer, with Thomas Tuchel 'eager to limit the club's losses and sell this summer,' according to 90min. Inter Milan is said to be one of the key parties interested, with 'the finances required to make any transfer possible being very much within I Nerazurri's means. This is mostly due to the fact that the Italian giants are still owed a'significant portion' of the £97.5 million spent to lure Lukaku back to west London.
Inter will be up against Paris Saint-Germain, who 'had already been in communication' with Lukaku's agency about a possible transfer. PSG are apparently looking to'revamp their final third alternatives this summer,' with Cristiano Ronaldo supposedly being one of their goals.
