For the sake of maintaining society's peace and harmony, Christians have been asked to emulate Jesus Christ's acts and forgive one another.
They were also advised to reach out to the impoverished and to pray for the forgiveness of sins as well as for societal tragedies.
This was said in a statement released by Hajia Safia Mohammed, the New Patriotic Party's Savannah Regional Women's Organizer, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Tamale on Friday.
As Christians observed Good Friday, it was in remembrance of this year's Easter celebrations.
"As a rabbi lecturing about God and how people might learn to forgive and live together in peace and harmony on this particular day, we must mimic His acts and turn over a new leaf."
