Easter is a Christian event commemorating Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. For several minutes, people are nailed to crosses. The Bible teaches that God's son was flogged, forced to carry the cross on which he would be crucified, and finally executed.

The Passion Play, also known as an Easter pageant, is a dramatic performance that represents the trial, suffering, and death of Jesus Christ. It is a common feature of Lent in many Christian traditions, particularly in Catholicism. They beat themselves with wooden whips to atone for their misdeeds, and some are nailed on the cross.

Good Friday is a solemn day on which Christians remember Jesus' death and the promise of hope and new life that it brings.

While rehearsing a skit about the Easter Passion of Christ, a Nigerian seminarian slumped and died. The 25-year-old philosophy student died while performing in the theatre as Peter. According to reports, the student received first-aid treatment, but it was ineffective in reviving him.

The dead was born in 1997. At the time of his death, he was a first-year student pursuing his dream of becoming a Catholic priest. Everyone seemed to be in mourning mode, so the school was abnormally quiet.

May his soul rest in peace!
