In the latest chapter of their dispute, Real Madrid midfielder Kroos mocks Mount following Chelsea's Euro exit.
During this week's exciting Champions League match, Real Madrid player Toni Kroos was seen insulting Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
After defeating Chelsea 5-4 on aggregate on Tuesday night, the Spanish giants advanced to the Champions League semi-finals.
Kroos was seen imitating Mount's movement after the final whistle, seeming to glance into the distance.
The rivalry between the two teams dates back to the semi-finals of last season. Chelsea won the match 3-1 and went on to win the Champions League title.
Kroos said he was unconcerned with Chelsea's attacking threat before the second leg last year, saying: "In my 15 years of playing football, I never lost sleep."
They shown their ability to play as a unit in Madrid. That doesn't surprise me because they have a German coach. Their strengths are that they defend effectively and play with a lot of pace up front."
Chelsea won the game 2-0 at Stamford Bridge when Mount scored his second goal of the night five minutes from time.
At the end of the second leg, he retaliated, saying that both Kroos and Real Madrid "ought to lose sleep over us as a team."
"I saw one of their players say before that he doesn't lose sleep over individuals," the England international told CBS Sports, "but they need to lose sleep over us as a team." We sacrifice so much, and we fight for our life."
Kroos then responded to Mount's words with a lighter tone, tweeting the next day, "Still sleeping ok." But congratulations on a job well done yesterday. congrats. "Best of luck in your first Champions League final."
