The England midfielder wants vengeance on the Reds after ending a three-year goal drought to help his club reach their second final of the season.
Chelsea intend to "pay back" Liverpool for their Carabao Cup final defeat, according to Ruben Loftus-Cheek, after the Blues booked a rematch with the Reds in the FA Cup final with a semi-final win over Crystal Palace.
The midfielder scored his first club goal in three years in the second half at Wembley Stadium, before Mason Mount doubled the advantage for Thomas Tuchel's side to secure a 2-0 victory over a tenacious Eagles side.
The outcome is sweet for former Palace loanee Loftus-Cheek, but with another chance at silverware against a quadruple-chasing Liverpool side on the horizon, he says the club is eager to exact its revenge on the greatest stage.
After the final whistle, Loftus-Cheek told ITV Sport, "We want to get them back, simple as that."
"The League Cup final was a terrific game that could have gone either way."
After a difficult few years, the midfielder appreciated the opportunity to shine, saying: "My mindset has kept me alive despite all of my ailments.
I still believed in myself and had predicted that my moment would come for many years."
Loftus-Cheek has emerged as an unsung hero for Tuchel this season, despite the fact that the former England international has struggled to find the back of the goal until today - a fact he relishes.
"It's long late!" he exclaimed.
"It's been a long road with injuries and loan spells to regain my form, but I've always believed in myself and wanted to play for Chelsea," he says.
I'm pleased with how much I've played this season.
"I was just about to hit it when it deflected a little, but I'll take it!"
I have to be prepared to take action.
In the first half, everything appeared to be a little slow, so I just tried to provide more energy."
