Sergio Aguero has weighed in on the Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Lionel Messi argument by commenting on Alejandro Garnacho's social media post.
Garnacho had a significant day in his young career on Saturday as he was included in Manchester United's matchday squad for their Premier League encounter against Norwich. Ralf Rangnick, the interim manager, named the 17-year-old to the replacements bench for the first time.
Despite not appearing in the 3-2 triumph, the youthful winger has been tipped for big things at Old Trafford. "He's been practicing with us for the previous two weeks and he's one of our most promising players," Rangnick stated before the game. "He's only 17 years old, but if he keeps his feet on the ground, he'll not only be on the bench, but he'll be playing for this club."
Garnacho was in the stands to see his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, scored a spectacular hat-trick – his 60th of his career – to win United three points against the league's lowest side. They were also highly crucial, considering that Tottenham and Arsenal both lost 1-0 to open up the competition for fourth place.
Ronaldo was a childhood favorite for the kid, who even imitated his characteristic "SIUUU" celebration after scoring for United's Under-18s in a 4-1 win over Everton in February. As a result, he was overjoyed when Ronaldo presented him with the match ball at the end of the game.
He took to Instagram to remember the occasion, uploading a photo of himself beside Ronaldo, holding the ball that the 37-year-old had given him. "Greatest of all time," he captioned the photo, which included goat, fire, football, and heart emojis.
