Former Chelsea player Cole believes Lukaku has six weeks to rescue his career.

According to the former winger, the striker only has a few chances to prove himself in London.

The Belgian striker returned to Stamford Bridge after a big-money move from Inter last year, but he has struggled since then, having lately slipped out of the team's starting striker role.

Lukaku has been almost completely used as a substitute in recent weeks, with only five goals in 20 Premier League outings.

What was Cole's take on Lukaku?

Chelsea's FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace ended in a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount. The Belgian was once again benched.

Lukaku had started each of the club's four FA Cup games prior to Sunday, but he was benched again after failing to score a Premier League goal since the start of the year.

The Belgian came on as a late substitution but squandered a clear chance late in the game, squandering a chance to force his way back into the starting lineup.

Cole said of Lukaku after the game to ITV Sport: "He's got six weeks to salvage his Chelsea career if he wants it."

"You look at Timo Werner, who never gives up and offers something else when he doesn't score a goal." Lukaku likes to be the center point, but he missed his moment, and we told him in the studio, "If it's not going for you, it's not going for you." He makes a mistake, opens his body up, and slams into the post. And he'll be gutted for his own good, because he's better than that."

Roy Keane, a former Manchester United player, concurred with Cole's assessment, saying, "He's got to change." It has to be returned to the player. "How desperate is he to rescue his Chelsea career?"

Chelsea's next assignment is to

The Blues have two games this week, facing Arsenal on Wednesday and West Ham on Sunday, making it their third encounter in seven days.

After being knocked out of the Champions League last week, the team has one more chance to win a trophy as they prepare for an FA Cup final against Liverpool on May 14 while maintaining their Premier League top four position.
