The month-long prohibition on drumming and noise-making in Denkyira enclave has been removed by the Denkyira Traditional Council (DTC).

People in cities and villages can now utilise musical instruments, clap, and play loud music during social and religious activities, thanks to the lifting of the restriction.

The restriction on creating noise was lifted after a traditional cannon salute and other customary procedures performed early Sunday morning, according to Nana Gyekye Anim III,Denkyira Abakomahene.

"As a result, information centres, pubs, bars, nite clubs, churches, and other organisations may continue to operate," he told Oppong(Journalist) in an interview.

Following the lifting of the restriction, bereaved families will be able to bury their deceased relatives under this direction.

The activities will start on Sunday, April 24th, and culminate on Saturday, April 30th, 2022, with daily events showcasing Denkyira's rich cultural legacy.

People from all around Ghana and from around the world will assemble to pay their respects to the late King of Denkyira.
