Former Black Stars defender Hans Adu Sarpei has stressed that he can never forgive Luiz Suarez for how he caused Ghanaians pain during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South African.

During the extra time of a clash between Ghana and Uruguay, the Atletico Madrid striker used his hand to deny the Black Stars a goal.

Subsequently, Asamoah Gyan wasted the spot-kick before Uruguay knocked Ghana out on penalties.

Ex-Ghana international Hans Adu Sarpei says he cannot forgive Luis Suarez for his handball which denied Ghana a place in the semi-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The Uruguay forward adopted “anti-fair play” means by stopping Dominic Adiyiah’s last-gasp goal-bound header with his hand.

While he was sent off for the incident and Ghana awarded a penalty, Asamoah Gyan missed from the spot.

The Black Stars went on to lose 4-2 on penalties, as the South Americans advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Former Ghana international says he cannot forgive Luis Suarez after his goal-bound handball prevented the Black Stars from becoming the first African team to reach the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup.

Luis Suarez was a hero to Uruguayans for stopping Dominic Adiyiah's stoppage time header, but the Barcelona striker remains a villain to Ghanaians ten years after the incident.
