Liverpool vs Manchester United - Preview , available players, missing players, prediction, team news, lineups, kick - off time

Two English football behemoths competing for different end-of-season goals square off at Anfield on Tuesday night, as Liverpool hosts Manchester United in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp's side have just qualified for the FA Cup final, while the Red Devils were aided by a current and former hero in a 3-2 league win over Norwich City.

Team Updates

Diogo Jota gave Liverpool a scare ahead of the FA Cup semi-final, but the Portuguese attacker was fit enough to come on as a substitute at Wembley after shaking off the knock.

Klopp is thus expected to work with a fully-fit squad once more and will likely shuffle the pack slightly, with Joel Matip expected to replace Konate, despite his recent hot streak in front of goal.

Jordan Henderson could also replace Naby Keita in midfield, and a well-rested Roberto Firmino staked his claim for more minutes in attack with a well-taken brace against Benfica in the Champions League.

Man United, on the other hand, has a number of players in the medical room as Rangnick works around a depleted midfield with Fred (hip) and Scott McTominay (foot) both set to miss out.

Edinson Cavani, a striker, and Luke Shaw, a left-back, are both definitely sidelined until at least May with their respective issues, and the latter is now highly unlikely to return before the season concludes.

Mason Greenwood was falsely reported to be returning to first-team training with the Red Devils - the striker remains suspended by the club - but Raphael Varane is in with a chance of returning for this game or the upcoming meeting with top-four rivals Arsenal.

It would not be surprising to see Rangnick bring in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Nemanja Matic to add defensive solidity, which will almost certainly see Jesse Lingard sacrificed after making his first league start of the season against Norwich.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Mane

Manchester United possible starting lineup:

De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; Matic, Pogba; Elanga, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo

PREDICTION : Liverpool 3-1 Manchester United
