After a Europa League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, Barcelona were hoping to bounce back in LaLiga Santander on Monday evening when they welcomed Cadiz to the Camp Nou. Currently on a seven-match winning streak in the Laliga, Xavi's men were aiming to reduce the gap to leaders Real Madrid back to 12 points, plus extending their advantage to third place Sevilla. Things did not turn out as Xavi was expecting.
Lucas Perez's second half goal was the difference between the two teams as he gave Cadiz their first ever win against Barcelona at the Camp Nou. Barcelona were also denied by the heroic saves of Ledesma, with Dembele and Luuk De Jong the closest to scoring, before Aubameyang had a great chance at the end. But ultimately it was a lacklustre performance from Xavi's men.
