_FOR BETTER FOR WORSE NEVER NEGLECT YOUR SALAAH_*.
BismilLah.
ALLAH the Almighty says:
“ But they were succeeded by generations who neglected prayer and followed their lusts and so will soon face the evil consequences.” (Quran, 19:59)
This verse is a warning to those who commit one of the greatest major sins, namely abandoning Salah. This verse comes after ALLAH mentioned Prophets and Messengers and their high ranks.
So after them came a generations who did not follow the way of the Prophets and they neglected salah and followed their lusts.
ALLAH then threatened them that they will soon face the evil consequences of those major sins. It’s so sad when one read verses like this and realize that the majority of Muslims today are in this situation. Many of them do not pray regularly and a large number do not pray altogether.
With that in mind, we can now understand why we are facing so much troubles in our Muslim communities.
Salaah is the second of the five pillars of Islam. In a day, Our Creator and Sustainer has obligated upon us, the performance of five prayers. The prayer was the coolness of the eyes of our beloved prophet Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), from where he found comfort. We are extorted to always resort to the prayer whenever we face any challenges, for there a portion of the prayer wherein the worshipper becomes the most close to Allah, and that is the Sujuud(prostration).
If we really want ALLAH’s Mercy to shower upon us, we must go back to Salah and perform it regularly in the best manner. Verily, Salah is the pillar of Islam and it is the key to Paradise.
*_May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protect us from any influences_*. Aameen.
